In the heart of Alc\u00e2ntara, a region rich in history and tradition, stands the Alc\u00e2ntara Market, also known as Rosa Agulhas Market, on Rua Le\u00e3o de Oliveira. This market, inaugurated in 1987, is continuously evolving to better serve the community.<\/p>

Among the latest improvements is O Mercado Restaurant, now occupying a prime spot within the space.<\/p>

Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by a cozy bar and an inviting terrace, perfect for enjoying a variety of house specialties. As you ascend the first flight of stairs, you’ll find a spacious dining room where you can savor our famous fresh fish and delicious sweets, including traditional conventual treats. At the back of the dining room, you\u2019ll be drawn to an appetizing display case showcasing a variety of fresh fish, seafood, and meats, all prepared in an open kitchen. Finally, you can visit our second room (on the upper floor), filled with natural light and mainly reserved for groups.<\/p>

This is the atmosphere of O Mercado Restaurant, located inside the Rosa Agulhas Market. The freshness of the ingredients and the creativity of Jos\u00e9 Manuel Teixeira make O Mercado Restaurant a place where traditional Portuguese cuisine thrives.<\/p>

Our dessert selection is another winning feature. We also offer a wide variety of wines at carefully chosen prices.<\/p>
